The Gambian Government and The African Regatta Sailing Week have made significant efforts to welcome visitors and ensure they have a enjoyable time, while also raising awareness and funds for the charity GAMROCK ED. For those who are not in the water but still want to be part of the action, there will be various beach and hotel verandah parties where the events can be observed. Alternatively, a small fee can be paid to race on a participating boat.

On Saturday, April 12th, 2025, everyone is invited to watch the finish of the Dakar to Banjul Race. This race involves boats from Senegal and Guinea Bissau participating in The African Regatta Sailing Week. This will be the first of many parties and balls held throughout the week, with the final awards party taking place in Qcity, and kicking of the three-day festival we will celebrate artists from the United Kingdom, the United States, and Jamaica.

Our mission is to inspire community, authenticity, and generosity through the sailing week and the 3-day festival celebration of music, art, and Gambian culture. I was fortunate enough to spend half of my life growing up on the beach in the Caribbean, hanging out with sand between our toes, and vibing with friends. The Caribbean culture is similar to the Gambians, and we wish to celebrate this unity.

ADA Accessibility
Gamrock Ed Festival is a fully accessible live music festival, and we are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure you have access to all festival amenities.
We welcome and encourage all feedback and suggestions from our patrons. The following explains the services that will be provided next year. For any accessibility-related questions and/or needs please email info@gamrock-ed.com. We will do our best to help you have an awesome experience at Gamrock Ed festival!

Accessible Viewing Areas
There will be accessible viewing areas made available to ADA patrons who may need to see above the crowd on the main stage and/or those who have mobility limitations. Visit any of the Information Booths near the festival entrances to gain access to these areas. Note that all viewing areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis and demand may exceed supply of seats. Plan to arrive early for popular acts.

Advanced Registration at Festival
Wristbands for the ADA seating area are also available at the Main Info Booth near the festival entrance. If you qualify, a Staff member will give you two ADA wristbands — one for you and a companion.

Advanced Parking
Gamrock Ed Festival does NOT control Redondo Beach-owned parking lots. Inside of each city-owned parking lot adjacent to the festival grounds, there are a limited amount of ADA parking spaces available. To park in one of these lots, please bring your valid disabled persons parking permit, placard, or plate. Please note that it is against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required ADA credentials or to fraudulently use someone else’s in order to gain access to ADA parking spots. All placards will be checked for validity by the Redondo Beach Police Department upon arrival.

Accessible Restrooms
Accessible Restrooms will be available throughout the venue and will be located at all restroom banks. Maps will be available in the Information Booth to show these locations.

Service Animal Policy
Persons with disabilities and their service dogs or animals that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for those persons with disabilities are welcome at Gamrock Ed Festival, as are those training service animals. Pets are not allowed and will be turned away. Due to large-scale animal service fraud, and for the protection of all festival patrons, service animals must be screened and registered at the Information Booth immediately upon entry to the site. Please contact us at info@Gamrock-Ed.com for protocol regarding service animals. Any service animal whose task is to provide protection, emotional support, well-being, comfort, or companionship is not considered a service animal and will not be allowed into the venue. All service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. Care of the service animal is the sole responsibility of the owner, including clean up, and any damage caused. Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal.
In continually striving to make our festival more accessible for everyone, we encourage you to contact us at info@Gamrock-Ed.com for any of your accessibility-related needs. Additionally, if you have any questions about policies or our services, please reach out to us.
